What's Next? Three Things You Can Do
December 12, 2019
After the "Flu Vaccine for Migrants" days of action in Southern California, the issue of medical neglect and human rights abuses in immigrant jails is once again in the national spotlight. Let's keep attention on this issue. Here's how you can help.
Get more people involved. As doctors and nurses, we all know other doctors and nurses who would love to know about D4CC. Be the one that brings them into the loop. Spread the word. Point them to this website or to the D4CC Facebook Page.
Make a donation. This work takes money, and sometimes, it's expensive. This is an all-volunteer effort. Your donation goes directly toward our very real costs. Help pay for:
- Materials and equipment for our demonstrations in California this week, including the expensive flu vaccine doses (By the way, since we were unable to use the vaccines at the detention center, we donated the 120 doses to a local organization providing health care for migrants).
- Legal fees for those who were arrested.
- The digital advocacy tools we are using to keep everyone connected.

- Join the National Conference Call. Next week (time and date to be determined), we will have a national online conference call to give updates, and to share what we are seeing as the most needed next steps. Come back soon to this page for updates on time and date.
